We are your fellow students from the Student Council TUM School of Management (Fachschaft TUM SOM) and we like to organize events for you: from small gatherings to important career events! But above all …

We are here to help you get off to a good start in your first semester. You can always contact us with questions, suggestions and wishes concerning your studies, just write us an e-mail. If you are interested in joining the Student Council yourself, just visit one of our general meetings, which take place online every second Tuesday. Maybe you would like to organize an event together with other students, or you find university politics interesting and would like to express your opinion? Find out what we can do together.

Do you want to get to know new people from your study program? We already have the right events planned for you, no matter whether you are in Munich or anywhere else around the world! Make sure to subscribe to our channels so that you don’t miss an event, deadline or other information!

Events for you!

We are more than happy to announce that we are back with on-site events! You will have the chance to meet your fellow students live and in person and make new friends in Munich! Of course, we don’t want to forget those of you who won’t be able to attend events in person. Therefore you will also have the chance to participate in our online events. You can read all the relevant information about the different events below. When signing up please make sure to only choose events that are intended for your study program!

“STAMMTISCHE” / LARGE GET-TOGETHERS
Are you looking forward to large in-person gatherings with your fellow students? Then, this is the right opportunity for you!

All first-semester students (either B.Sc or M.Sc), as well as Master students from the intakes WS20/21 and SS21 and Bachelor 3rd semester students are more than welcome to register for our traditional Stammtisch at Munich’s finest Beer Gardens.

Register for our freshers’ Stammtisch on one of the following dates, depending on your intake:
- 4th of October (Bachelor intake WS21/22)
- 19th of October (Bachelor intake WS20/21 and Master intake WS21/22)
- 20th of October (Master intakes WS20/21 and SS21)
Get the chance to enjoy a beer (or two, three…) while getting to know your fellow students 🙂

CAFÉ & BAR GET-TOGETHERS
Want to get to know your fellow batchmates while enjoying a coffee or drink? This is the perfect opportunity for you! These smaller get-togethers in groups of 7- 15 students are designed to chat, have fun before and during the first week of your studies.

All first-semester students (either B.Sc or M.Sc) and third-semester B.Sc. students are invited to register to our freshers’ Cafe and Bar Get-Together.

Your table will be pre-reserved by the student council at the nicest cafes and bars in Munich, so hurry and reserve your place on our website!
- When:
  
  5-10 October & 18-24 October, at 16:00 & 17:00 (Cafe get-togethers)
  
  7, 8, 9 October & 21, 22, 23 October at 20.30 PM (Bar get-togethers)
- Where: Surprise 🙂 (You will get an email a few days before confirming the place)

IMPORTANT: Please register at least 24 hours before your preferred slot! Otherwise we cannot guarantee that you will receive the information about the meeting point in time (e.g. if you want to book a slot on 5.10 at 16:00, you need to register by 4.10, 16:00)
UNI-DISTRICT RALLY
Are you excited to start your new journey in Munich? We want to give you the chance to get to know the university campus and the city! If you’re ready to meet new people and explore Munich, then join the University & City-Rally!
You will have the chance to sign up for a timeslot. At the specified time you will be completing the rally in a group of 9-10 students and with one group leader. If you complete all challenges successfully you and your teammates will furthermore have the chance to win some prizes!
- When: between the 12th and 19th of October (choose the day and time that fits you best)
- Where: in Munich! The meeting point will be communicated to you via email.

Library Tours
Get to know your Library! Join one of the virtual tours of the main campus library and learn, among others, how you can borrow books, where you can study in the library and how you can access useful resources in the library’s online portal.
