About Oncera:
Oncera is a biotech startup developing an AI-powered platform for precision oncology. Our BEAM model, built at
Helmholtz Munich, enables the generative design of personalized antibodies. These are validated using proprietary
3D tumor organoids and culture technologies. Our goal is to improve treatment outcomes for hard-to-treat cancers
like HCC and CCC through scalable, individualized therapies.
Project Objective:
Create a strategic plan to secure funding for Oncera through VC, grants, startup awards, and industry sponsorships.
Key Tasks:
- Map relevant VC firms, grant programs, awards, and accelerators
- Build a strategic timeline aligning capital needs with development milestones
- Prepare templates for applications, pitches, and cover letters
- Research and list 30+ potential investors or sponsors with rationale
- Use CRM or tracking tool for investor outreach and follow-ups
Deliverables:
- Funding roadmap (PDF, 8-15 pages)
- Investor/sponsor list with contact info and fit
analysis
- Application timeline and pitch templates
- Presentation to Oncera leadership
- Linkedin Posts
Student Team:
We seek 2-4 students with strong interest in venture capital, biotech innovation, or business development.
Preferred backgrounds include innovation management, business, law, or bioentrepreneurship. Experience with
funding applications, VC databases (Crunchbase, Dealroom), or startup competitions is advantageous.
Start Date: By arrangement
Duration: Preferably 6 months part-time, or 3 months full-time
