An interesting slice of electro-funk from noted Philly Soul producer Buddy Turner, "Cabbage Patch Scratch" has an irresistible beat and features the vocal expertise of "Gorgeous George" Leone aided by some nice female back-ups. This was Philadelphia's response to the Cabbage Patch dance craze that started on the West Coast and initiated by the World Class Wrecking Crew which featured a young Dr. Dre. Originally released in 1984, "Cabbage Patch Scratch" has become something of a collector's item among fans of early electro funk, the original vinyl trades hands among funk connoisseurs for big bucks. Featured here is the original single which features a bonus dub and instrumental version. Newly remastered.
