I found out the institution of recycling is a myth. The powers that be collect the recycling and take it away - but then they toss it in the same landfill as the regular trash. So when I go shopping and buy anything in a cardboard box, instead of breaking down the box and throwing it away.
I paint on it.
Painted on cardboard and mounted to chip board to make the peice more stable.
It’s cheaper than canvas anyway.
Painting on cardboard because my building doesn’t recycle so I use old cereal boxes and seltzer water boxes to paint on.
